Where can I park up and stay?
Wild Camping?
The Land Reform (Scotland) Act 2003, which permits wild camping and defines it as lightweight, away from roads and done in small numbers, it does not refer to motorised vehicles.
People visit Scotland to do just this in a camper van or motorhome. However keep in mind that wild camping refers to backpacking/tent camping only. Parking overnight is tolerated as long as its not in a no park area/zone. If in doubt you must seek permission either verbally or by signature.
Tip: Always follow the rule “Leave No Trace” no litter and respect your environment, and keep it short.
